What is the BSAC Sports Diver course?
If you already have some diving experience with an entry-level qualification and want to take your underwater adventures to the next level, the BSAC Sports Diver is your next step in BSAC’s Diver Training Programme.
You will broaden your experience in a variety of challenging open-water conditions, and learn essential techniques to prepare you for diving to a maximum of 35 metres.
During the BSAC Sports Diver course, you’ll learn valuable skills in accessing diver stress as well as enhancing your diver rescue skills.
The course includes six theory modules, a practical session on how to support a Dive Manager, a sheltered-water rescue skills session, and six open-water dives with plenty of time to practice your skills.
During the BSAC Sports diver course you will be continuously accessed. On successful completion of the course. You will be competent to complete a series of depth progression dives.
Upon completion of the BSAC Sports diver course, you will be able to competently dive to 35m. At these depths, you can access a wide variety of dive sites.
Qualifying as a Sport Diver will also enable you to take part in a wider variety of BSAC Skill Development Courses to increase your diving skills.
